This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week. Candidates must be available to work primarily weekday daytime hours, but also 2-4 weekend days per month and 1-2 evenings per week. Current library hours are Monday through Thursday 8:30am – 9:00pm, Friday 8:30am – 8:00pm, Saturday 8:30am – 7:00pm, and Sunday 10:00am – 6:00pm. As a condition of employment, work schedules may change as necessary to best provide user services and to meet the Library’s responsibility to the citizens of Greene County.

Job Description
Position: Circulation Manager
Classification: Full Time
Track: Department Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Essential Functions
- Assumes responsibility for daily operations of the Circulation Department
- Responsible for overseeing Circulation and Paging staff including performance reviews and development
- Schedules staff and volunteers to assure productivity and high levels of patron service
- Audits and approves time sheets for bi-weekly payroll
- Assists with interviewing and selection of circulation and paging staff
- Coordinates all department services in compliance with system policies and procedures
- Performs regular circulation functions
- Accountable for all monies collected in the Circulation Department
- Acts as PIC (Person In Charge) – will be the building manager as assigned, handling safety and security matters as they arise
- Participates on Circulation Committee
- Assists other library departments as needed including support in the gift shop when gift shop staff or volunteers are unavailable
- Interprets and implements the Library’s General Conduct Policy
- Ability to work with others and the general public:It is essential that individual who works in this position have the ability to work and interact in a cooperative, pleasant, and constructive manner with others.
