The ideal applicant should have familiarity with public libraries and enjoy working with children and families. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively and to successfully meet deadlines is essential.
DUTIES:
The Summer Intern is responsible for assisting the Children’s Services staff during the June 1 – July 31st Defiance Public Library Summer Reading Program. Tasks would primarily be preparing crafts and assisting at programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
An even-keeled temperament, people skills, and skill handling the unexpected are necessary. Fine motor skills, and ability to carry or push up to 40 lbs. required.
