Hiring Range: $73,293.96 to $91,617.45
FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Summary:
Oversees the Public Services Division of the Prescott Public Library which encompasses
Adult Services, Youth Services, and Circulation work groups


Essential Duties:
Trains, supervises, and performs employee evaluations
Develops and manages collection of adult materials including physical and electronic
materials and subscriptions; oversees withdrawal of books, magazines, DVDs, and
audio books that are obsolete, in poor condition, or not circulating well
Oversees all Library marketing, publicity, and signage including website and social
media presence
Works with others to carry out strategic planning, budget development, and public
relations
Works collaboratively to identify and address community needs for Library services
Delivers presentations about the Library to various community groups
Works with the public on problematic or complicated issues
Identifies and seeks grant opportunities for services and programs for the Library
Responds to patron comments and concerns
Leads work group managers in the development of procedures and efficient
workflow
Guides and empowers public services staff to achieve strategic objectives
Regularly reports to supervisor on Public Services Division personnel, projects, and
initiatives
Works with other members of the Yavapai Library Network to maintain and enhance
cooperation within the county
Provides professional front-line readers' advisory work via in person, on the phone,
and via email; assists with public computers and other electronic devices
Serves as a member of the Library Management Team with responsibilities for
planning and project management
Evaluates Library services; oversees development and implementation of patron
surveys, collection performance, and staff surveys; assists supervisor in analyzing
data and implementing change as warranted
Oversees Library operations in absence of supervisor
Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience:
Master's degree in Library Science; three (3) years of supervisor experience in public
library setting; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions
of the position.
Licensing, Certification, and Other Requirements:
Possess a valid Arizona driver's license (or obtain one within 30 days of hire)
