"One Letter Can Save a Life." José Francisco Calí Tzay states this remarkable fact about his work as the United Nations Special Rapporteur on the rights of indigenous people. This post makes him the highest-ranking independent expert appointed by the Human Rights Council with primary responsibility for the promotion and protection of the human rights of Indigenous peoples.
